Watercolor #3 in the Nell Loraine Series. I have a school Composition Book that belonged to Nell Loraine Alvey, age 11, who lived in Clarkson KY in 1922. It contains sentences copied from the blackboard and letters and stories written by Nell herself. It paints a picture of rural Southern life in the early 1920s. Her stories inspired these paintings.
